They were referred by a company I used for our plumbing and electrical work. I've learned the hard way that I should've been more diligent in researching the reputation of Rivas Roofing & Gutters before using them. I do NOT trust them to ever work on our roof again.

Save yourself a major headache and having the owner hang up on you when you ask for him to come back and fix what he didn't fix in the first place, afterall there is a labor warranty on the work, supposedly. Just spent $1100 fixing roof again, sheetrock in a ceiling and carpeting a floor because of VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, and because it wasn't fixed right away, and when asked to remedy the situation, the owner became very rude and hung up on us.

Will make sure everyone knows to avoid this roofing company. Any good reviews on this site have got to be friends that are trying to help this guy improve his reputation. How about teaching him about good workmanship and customer service? I only gave Rivas a one-star because there was no minus-star option. I see local community blogs and he is NEVER recommended on those--that tells you something!

Unless you enjoy frustration, choose another roofing company. They do not listen. They do poor work and they do not stand behind it. If you use them, get everything in writing and keep detailed records.

Wholly unprofessional. They cleaned my gutters and left the debris all over the front porch and front yard. The owner runs the business out of his kitchen. Argumentative, rude, and doesn't follow through with his promise. If you have the option, run from this company. If you have to use them, watch them like a hawk or they'll FUBAR your home.

I own a handyman company and we refer all of our roofing business to Rivas. There are a lot of options in roofers, but they have always come through with fair bids and work.
