Our experience with Millstream was very favorable. We replaced a 23 year old roof that, while not yet failing, was ready for an upgrade. Eric B. was our estimator/sales person - he was knowledgable, personable and provided a competitive quote. I like the fact that Millstream only uses top quality products from Owens-Corning and they are local to the area.

I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to contractual terms, especially with an expense this large, and Eric was patient and accommodating when I requested that additional details on the products needed to be added to the contract prior to signing. On demo/install day a crew of six arrived right on time. Admittedly, I was a bit apprehensive, as the crew arrived in a standard unmarked white panel van, not a Millstream vehicle.

That said, outside of a brief lunch break, the crew worked non-stop from 7am to around 5pm. Start to finish, the project was finished in a day. Despite some language barriers, the crew was polite, knew what they were doing and, no exaggeration, were some of the hardest working individuals that I've ever seen. If had one minor suggestion it would be for someone from the Millstream office to check in periodically throughout the day with a call or text to see if we had any questions, concerns, etc.

Aside from that minor point, all in all, the roof came out great and we expect that in the unlikely event that we have any issues, the Millstream team will stand behind their work. Based on our experience, we would recommend Millstream without hesitation.

Millstream did a great job tearing down and rebuilding our chimney. They worked their schedule around our newborn. Chris even had it sealed it up over last winter, when it was too cold to mix mortar. Thanks guys, we appreciate it.

Dave at Millstream was a pleasure to work with during the review and quoting process. I tend to want to understand all the details and what I'm getting for the cost and he was very thorough and clear with each response. The overall quote was well within that of other local reputable companies I had quotes with and the quality I received looks to be great as there have been no further water issues that were occurring on the previous roof line.

The on-site workers were very considerate and efficient to get the job completed very quickly. The project manager, Anthony, was easy to get a hold of and maintain proper direction. There were a few bumps in communication between the quoting activity and what Anthony understood needed to be accomplished but he was quick to sort those out and keep everything on track without any cost issues to me.

That extra I put in to make sure everything was as I had intended with the Dave is the only reason why I didn't give 5 star but is certainly not something that would keep me from working with Millstream again. I highly recommend their service.

Eric came out and quoted us for a new roof. He was very professional and understanding of our needs! He was phenomenal to deal with and went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied and happy. He was there every step of the way! He even plugged up a few mouse holes, showing how caring, and dedicated he is! We are thankful beyond words for his integrity and dedication! Thank you Eric! You are awesome!

Needed a roof to be installed quickly because of leaks. Even with all the rain we had this summer Millstream Construction was able to schedule our roof installation in a timely manner. In a day and a half we had a beautiful new roof. We could not be more satisfied. The roofers did an excellent job and the yard was cleaned of all debris. Everyone at Millstream Construction we communicated with was friendly and courteous. Being personable is why we chose Millstream construction. We would highly recommend Millstream Construction for your next roofing project.

Was doing some construction in one of the bedrooms in my house when I noticed a split tape joint in the ceiling drywall and some water staining. I called Millstream and was greeted very nicely from the receptionist. The technician Craig came by the next day or so and took a look. While he could not find anything immediately, he did instruct that I need to pull down some drywall to get a better look from the inside.

One this had been done, I sent pictures of what I had discovered and Craig came back and fixed the issue. He also noticed an unrelated issue with my chimney. Craig and Millstream where very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone I know and use them again if I have any issues.

Updated (2/1/2020) I increased my rating to four stars. Nick Ortiz who is the General Manager at Millstream contacted me after reading my original review from December 2019. He offered to pay for the damages caused to my Gutter Helmet. This was replaced on 1/29/20 at the cost of $300. I am impressed by the customer service to handle this in a timely manner.

I will now recommend Millstream to others for roofing projects, but just be aware that they might use subcontractors. I hope the company they use will learn from their past mistakes.

This company did an excellent job on my roof. I bought a special package through Angie's list and paid extra since I needed a rubber roof for a part that was not slanted enough for a regular roof. Even though the estimate I originally got when Millstream came out to give a quote was more than the Angie's List deal (--- and I had forgotten initially that they were coming out because of the Angie's deal), they stuck with the Angie's List package price when I realized that was the source of how I started talking to them. (I was talking with many contractors so didn't mention the Angie's List deal when they first came out.) I was happy with the quality and professionalism. And they were amazingly efficient in getting the roof up in almost one day. Great job. Thanks Millstream!

Excellent service! When I called a real person answered! Fantastic! I needed a repair done so I could close on the sale of my building. The next day Graig came out ON TIME and repaired the the chimney flashing. Excellent! I will keep them in my phone book!

The ONE call you need to make for all your roofing needs, Millstream Construction did a complete roof replacement on my 5300sf home recently. The job was completed in under 48 hours, start to finish, and we were exceptionally satisfied.

Chris is a diamond among rough-cut gravel. As soon as we contacted him, he went over and above the call of duty checking on the damage to our house and making sure it was secure as we were 600 miles away. His professionalism is impeccable. Good communication and can-do attitude. His team was professional as well and hard-working.

I had roof damage after a major wind storm in March of 2018. This caused water to leak into my attic and down into the second floor of my Multi-Family. Originally the insurance company claimed that only half of the roof needed to be replaced, but Chris identified and explained why the damage had been more severe than originally thought. That kind of attention to detail and consultative service is what drew me to work with Millstream and Chris in the first place.

In very short order, he had a team at the house and in a single day had completed work. It was so well done that I used them to install gutters on top of the roof work, which was equally as flawless. Things that stood out to me: - Service was outstanding - taking time to explain the why and how behind the what they were going to do. - Proactive and anticipatory consulting that made the job painless for me - Easy to work with - I could communicate with him via a variety of channels (email, phone, text) which made the job easier to manage. I wholeheartedly recommend this company if you need someone reliable and trustworthy.

Not only is Chris personable and professional, but his crew came out and did my entire roof in a day and it's an extremely large roof :- and they're clean up was awesome. They even moved my potted plants away and back in place before they left. Additionally, because of his status with Owens Corning I was able to get the full 50 years warranty for workmanship and labor.

Millstream Construction owned by Chris Gonsalves is an amazing, professional organization. We hired Chris recently to conduct a roof inspection of a home we were buying in the Hartford area. He was awesome! He arrived early and got down to business, inspecting the roof as well as all of the flashings, skylights, and chimneys in the home. He climbed out on the roof as well as using a drone to conduct a full, thorough inspection.

He made a ton of pictures and told us exactly what he thought and which he thought should be the priorities. I have NO DOUBT that when it comes time for us to repair this roof Chris will be the man we hire and SO SHOULD YOU!

Honestly, I was blown away. Damien showed up and was able to make a repair right on the stop. I wasn't expected the quick turn around, professional attitude, and positivity. I am grateful we connected to them! Any future home repairs are going through Millstream. Couldn't be any more impressed.
