Downspout drains can assist in moving water away from your foundation safely. We do not tie in your downspout drains to your french drain system, this can cause water backup and flooding in some cases. We use PVC and slotted connections burried beneath the ground.

French drains are a great way to resolve standing water issues on the ground. In some cases regrading of the ground is required and sometimes a french drain is required if the grading will not solve the standing water issues. Make sure that your yard is sloped 1" for every 10 Feet away from your home to properly move water. If creating this slope is not possible a french drain will be required to prevent flooding of the yard and swelling of the soil surrounding your homes foundation.
