I've worked with multiple other roofing companies who were not professional, responsive, reasonably priced, and/or honest. So, after requesting estimates from 6 separate roofing companies that were recommended to me, I hired American to do my tear off and roofing job and I'm SO glad I did! I hired American because of the superior materials they used, superior detailed & thorough workmanship offered, the competitive pricing for the value provided, and because their company has been around for a long time giving me greater confidence that their company will be around to honor their warranty if there are any future issues with my roof.
I worked with Matt Yorgason who was exceptionally helpful in providing me with information about my options and what he recommends and why. The roofing crew & finish carpenter were all professional and did very good work. Matt was very responsive to my questions and requests, ensured that all the agreed upon work was completed and that I was happy with the finished product, and was friendly and easy to work with.
I appreciated Matt's honesty, transparency & responsive communication throughout the process and I will confidently use them for any future roofing needs. Thank you, Matt and American Roofing!

I have not reviewed a business in quite some time on google, but felt as though I needed to leave one for American Roofing. The beginning of the process started out really nice. I think our sales person was very pleasant and helped us get the best possible deal on a roof with more premium shingles. After winter, the roofers began in March. The roofers worked very quickly and made a pretty big mess, although they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves.
The shingles and flashing looked and still look awesome. This is when my experience with American Roofing turned more unpleasant. It took nearly 3 weeks for the gutter crew the American Roofing was using to come out and install the gutters. During those weeks I began to notice the dead-spots in my backyard from where the roofing crews generators leaked gasoline and killed parts of my lawn.
No big deal, I just had to dig it up and replace the sod. When the gutters were installed, one section was installed very poorly and they forgot to install the gutter along our detached garage. During all this time I kept remembering that when I talked to our salesperson, we discussed only replacing some sections of the gutter. So why were we replacing all of them?
The next MONTH was phone tag with American Roofing trying to get them back out to fix and finish the gutters on our house. It was most frustrating when our sales rep would tell us someone was coming out to finish, but they never showed up. We left for vacation mid-May, and they had the gutters completed in our absence. I really wanted to be there to talk about what I thought needed fixing. Thankfully, everything looked fine when we came back.
I think we got a good deal; but, I don't know if I could recommend American Roofing to my friends. The shingles look good and the gutters were eventually finished, but our communication and customer service experience was overall extremely negative. Get a bid from American Roofing, but definitely make sure you shop your other options.

If you want the best company for the job pick this one with Andrew as the customer support and Alfredo leading the crew of his brothers. Complete tear off and roof replacement with all the color coordinated "trimmings" & flashings in two days, even working overtime. Professional, able to think on the spot, and make decisions. Excellent quality work and excellent clean up going the extra mile. Excellent communication and follow-up on everything!

American Roofing did my neighbors house a few years ago and I was impressed with the work they did. So when I was ready to have my roof done I got 3 bids, one from them and two others. One bid has high and two bids were reasonable, American was $1 more than the lowest so I went with them and could not be happier. James (Householder) sent a crew out and they worked from sunup to sundown getting it ready to shingle then spent the next day putting shingles on and finishing it off. thanks James, great job!

We had a few bids to fix our missing shingles. One company bid us 2,400 and American roofing was 350. The other company didn't even get on the roof to go look at the problem and American Roofing had someone come and walk all over the roof and take a look at everything. They even noticed some other spots where the shingles were coming loose. To fix everything was a fraction of the cost compared to the other company. So happy with this company and their service.

In mid-June we started working on getting us a new roof. Approval from our adjuster took a while. At first the adjuster said we only needed half of our roof replaced. ---American Roofing was right there with us convincing our adjuster that we needed a whole roof which involved several calls between them. Then once the adjuster approved the roof, we had to wait weeks for the insurance company to issue a check.
It was all taking so long I was worried that American Roofing would give up on us. But they were with us every step of the way from mid-June until October when we finally had our roof. We are very happy with it and have received lots of complements. Then a couple of weeks later, my daughter also needed a new roof. With the good experience I had had with American Roofing, she decided to go with them.
Her roof was in worse shape than she thought. Since it was early fall, American Roofing went ahead and patched the roof to buy her time in the event of inclement weather to protect the exposed wood portion. We give American Roofing a A+++ rating. We are so grateful they were the company we chose to go with.

I am very pleased with my new roof! Everyone I worked with at American Roofing was professional and responsive including the poor guys doing the hard labor on the hot days. I really appreciated them being willing to work with my schedule. The mess was minimal and was cleaned up quickly. I was very pleased when doing the final walk through that Jon offered to seal up a portion of my stucco that wasn't even part of the responsibility!
American Roofing definitely believes in leaving the customer with quality product. I am confident my roof that will last for many years to come. A sincere thank-you for the care you put into doing a quality job on my house!

American Roofing did a great job on my roof. After beginning my job, I encountered problems with a awning that had been attached to my roof which needed to be torn down and replaced and they worked with me in waiting until my insurance took care of the issue. I was truly impressed with how everyone I encountered on my job was more than willing to make sure that I was happy with everything and that my shingles were replaced to my satisfaction. Gavin was a pleasure to work with and I will certainly recommend him and American Roofing to my friends and family. Thank you again for a job well done!

Extremely unprofessional. Blocked off the pathway into my apartment building leaving nails in parking lot. When the children were getting out of school, debris was falling down on them because this company refuse to use a chute into their dumpster. Instead, they just pushed the shingles onto the ground below.

Very happy with American Roofing. Gavin was good to work with on the bid process. He was thorough on the products that were available and pricing. I had 5 separate quotes to replace the roof on my house and while the quote from American was not the lowest it was comparable and I felt comfortable with Gavin. The Crew was very professional and fast.
I had one issue with a roof vent that needed to be addressed when they were complete. It was taken care immediately and without hesitation. Again very pleased with my new roof and would recommend American Roofing to others.

I hired American Roofing to do a full strip and re-shingle of my roof. Overall it was done correctly eventually. They scheduled me to start on a Thursday, and didn't start till Friday. Then the indicated their crew wasn't going to work on the weekend, so to my surprise, a crew was on my roof at 7 am Saturday morning continuing work. That same crew pulled up my water heater venting and left it disconnected, without telling me that was going to happen.
There is a reason you have venting to a water heater. so I was a bit upset about that. Then after they were done, the roll off dumpster sat in my driveway for 3-4 days after the project was over. Then, I found out that they had installed a bathroom fan vent the wrong way, when water started pouring in through the fan during a rainstorm. To their credit, they sent someone out the same day to fix it, but I would think that their inspector should have caught that.
Then I got a notice in the mail that the final inspection for the city wasn't done, and if it wasn't done, the city would take legal action that wouldn't allow me to sell my home until the work was complete. After a phone call they did take care of it, but I think you're getting the idea, nothing that was wrong wasn't eventually fixed, But i felt like the coordination and scheduling could have been improved, and the inspector and roofing crew could have done a better job mid and end of project. My roof does look nice, and at the end of the day I did get what I paid for, but I just feel like it could have been handled better than it was.

My dealings with Andrew Y. at American Roofing was top notch. Everyone involved in the project was friendly, honest, and professional. On top of providing a fair and comfortable business transaction, they also provided a quality product. For my project, they reroofed, constructed new eves, and resided my house. As a first time home owner and having no clue how to navigate the construction industry, I felt comfortable that I wasn't getting taken advantage of. Andrew went out of his way numerous times to explain "my best option", even if it didn't profit American Roofing.
For my project, they were replacing the decking of my roof. Therefore, at times, small portions of my attic was exposed. As accidents do happen, a worker accidently stepped through my attic and created a hole through my ceiling. I feel at these times a company can show its true colors. American Roofing resolved the issue with genuine concern and urgency. Also, I would like to note that during the reroofing project, while my roof was half way finished, it rained off and on for a couple days.
As a quality roofer should, they always appeared to have a certain level of preparedness for the weather. My type "A" personality came out and I found myself in my attic at 2am during the peak of a rainstorm. I didn't see a single drop of rain in my house! This was a good example of their professionalism. What's a review without a little critique?
During the re-roofing project, a lot of debris was removed from my house. The debris was thrown off the roof onto the ground before it ended up in a dumpster. I felt like there could have been a little more effort to protect the landscaping around my house. RIP plants :. I hear some Rubbermaid bins or 5-gallon buckets placed on-top of the plants is a good move. Other than that, I have no complaints. 10 out 10 would recommend them!

I think they sub contracted my house to another company in November of 2015. The workers said they were with American Roofing but there was different company's name and logo on their shirts as well as on the dumpster. The rain that leaked into my house after the undercoating was placed was fortunate for me because it identified some large holes in the undercoating that may have just been shingled over if it had not leaked.
They did do some minor repair and cleaning of the damage for which I give them credit. After the shingles were placed they left a big gap between shingles 8 or 9 inches where the roof valleys had a metal strip. We were told they were required to place them that way, but no other house I've seen has the shingles placed like this. Ugly! The rain gutters leak where my 30 year old gutters did not and create a patch of ice on my walk way to my front stairs in the winter.
I was told that the gutters need heat tape, in spite of the fact that the old one didn't have heat tape, and they said they would reseal the gutters and give me an estimate on placing heat tape. That was 6 weeks ago. I'm done. I must say however that a friend of mine had a good experience with A R. That's why I went with them. So, this experience may be an outlier.

After seeing their website and two glowing reviews here, I called American Roofing to request a bid to have a metal roof installed, along with soffit and gutters, and a change to my roofline. Based on the information available on their website, they DO install metal roofing. However, when I spoke with them on the phone this morning, they said they "really don't do metal roofs, because they just don't have the metal guys to do it." OK.
With a website that provides inaccurate information for folks shopping around for a contractor, I do not believe they are a roofing company I would trust putting a quality roof over my head.

Don't go with American Roofing of Utah or also known as AMCOROOF. They were suppose to do some patch and other work on the flat roof at a cost of $1400+ on our new house. They didn't fulfill their contract at all (no gutters cleaned out, no new gravel) and they damaged the roof! It leaked into the house a huge 6 x 8 inch bubble 2 feet in from the roof edge in a bedroom less then two weeks after they "patched" the roof.
The roof had no previous internal leaks at all. (I checked with the previous owners and we had a special roof inspection before buying the house-the inspector confirmed no internal leaks and recommended the patch work.) They refused to return my calls and claim they know nothing about any damage when they finally did call back.

I had 3 companies give me an estimate on repairing the roof on my Park City house. They were all within $100 of each other. I picked American Roofing because the guy that came out was really nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, even after several telephone calls, they didn't show up until months later. I warned them that Park City gets early snow and that the roof would need to be repaired before snowfall, but they showed up in early November and had to clear the snow to make the repairs (I hired them in August).
When I got the bill, I was shocked to find that it was DOUBLE what they had bid. Double. They charged me more because of the additional labor, apparently. Even after complaining about this, I had to pay the full amount. I would not hire them again. Steer clear.

We used American Roofing to replace our flat roof a few years ago. Their prices were reasonable and the job was completed on time and with no surprises or additional charges. They had someone that constantly picked up the debris and the job site was impeccable every day during the work. I had them come back to do some repair work on a vent pipe that my builder messed up and there was no charge. I highly recommend them for any roof work.
