Jeff has taken care of situations for my mom and for myself on home and rental properties. He has proven to be more knowledgable on product even letting the county know about material that fits new compliance rules and about aspects of the job others failed to discuss such as dormirs. Also, he made time during rains to help! Much Appreciated!!

We had a clay tile roof installed by Scurrahs Roofing. Price was average but Quality of completion was low. My experience with Scurrahs Roofing over the last 20 years has not been favorable from the start but the follow-up if you need repair has been even worse. In the last four years we had the house tented for termites, result was broken tiles, and we hired Scurrahs (original contractor) to replace.

We paid for the replacement of the broken tiles four years ago but the guys sent to do the job never finished properly and now Jeff does not respond to calls to get it done after repeated requests. Jeff Scurrah now wants to sell reconditioning of the roof but will not complete our last agreement and leaves me with broken and missing tile not completed. One roof tile slid out of place and fell off, another in middle of roof is still broken, incomplete repair.

Good response time. Professional, experienced evaluation of the situation. Suggested an affordable fix that looked to preclude future problems as well. The employees were courteous and and invested in a job well thought out and completed. Highly recommend this family owned company for large and small projects.

I found a great roofer! Although Jeff does not actively lay shingles anymore, he has a fantastic crew that works tirelessly to ensure a great roofing experience. Jeff is honest and forthright and will make sure your roof is done right the first time. His price is fair and he uses quality materials. His crew cleans up daily, and when they had completed the job, you could hardly tell there had been any workers on property (and that includes inside the garage).

If you've ever had a composition shingle roof, you know how messy that can be with all the granules from the old shingles. Not with Scurrah's Roofing. Great clean-up. And the roof looks fantastic! I am one happy customer. Thank you to Jeff, Orlando and the rest of the crew. I highly recommend Scurrah's Roofing for your next reroof or repair.

I called Jeff when i noticed my roof was leaking during a heavy rain. He was very busy giving estimates during the rainy weather, but made it out the next day. He explained in detail what i needed for my roof and I accepted his quote.but do to raining weather, he wasn't able to make it out for 2 months to start the work. After they started, his crew did a good job completing my roof with in 4 days.

After the job was completed, i noticed they backed the dumpster up to my house and damaged a motion light sensor, but Jeff came by the next day and fixed it for me. I'm happy I used Scurrah's Roofing.

This was my first time using Scurrah's Roofing and I'm glad I did! My place got a leak from the all of the rain recently, and naturally I couldn't keep using a pot to hold the rainwater. My roofing is Spanish-style and has traditional shingles roofing, so I wasn't sure if it'd be hard to fix. Scurrah's assured me that they'd be able to fix it with no hassle!

They were up front and honest about the repairs and explained what needed to be done. They gave me an affordable estimate on the same day I called. It was done quickly. I love that they were thorough and didn't leave a mess! I was definitely expecting to have to clean up after them, but it was spotless. I'm honestly impressed by how quick and easy the process was. I usually hate having to deal with house repairs, but the workers were nice and did a great job. I give them 5 stars because they exceeded all my expectations!

After having a roof installed by Scurrah's roofing about a year ago, I needed to call them back to fix a leak caused by another contractor installing mounts for a patio cover through the shingles. The previous contractor tried 3 separate times to seal the leaks, and that's when I called Jeff at Scurrah's roofing. He was able to make time for me during the busy roofing season, when the rains first start up.

His crew installed flashing, webbing, and covered all exposed sealant with roofing granules and not a leak to be seen this last rain. I am very happy with the original roof and his after the sale service is excellent as well. I highly recommend this business.

Best Option For A Roofing Company! My parents roof started leaking with the heavy rain recently and they were really concerned looking at the weather report saying that there was more rain to come. My mom mentioned this to a neighbor and they suggested Scurrah's Roofing. It was a great recommendation. We called and they arrived quickly to look at the problem.

They looked at the roof and they gave us a few suggestions of repair or replace. They then gave us a quote and estimated time of when it would be repaired. It was perfect (just before another day of rain). They had finished the work in the time promised and we were really pleased with the work that they had done. My parents were really happy that they did not have to worry ab out any leaks with any upcoming rain storms. The funny thing is after that it did not even rain that much after. A little sprinkles, that's it. It never rains in California :)

I was very impressed with Scurrah's roofing This is where I agree with the idea of giving credit where it is deserved and that is why I needed to write this review. Scurrah's roofing is the ultimate choice. They recently did a re-roofing for my house in Orange county. I now have a elegant roof and do not have to worry about leaking or need for repairs. Second, the owner is a man of integrity, he is not moved by just profits, he is committed to the undertaking of leaving a legacy of satisfying clients beyond their expectations.

From my experience and interactions with the whole team, I can attest they have the interest of the client at heart. They don't just come and construct any roof and give any price; they take time to analyze and advice the client on the best roof or re-roofing options. I would personally recommend Scurrah's Roofing to my friends and family. They are simply the best roofing service providers!

We first got a quote from Jeff in November of 2012 for a new roof. He quoted aprox. $9,950. We got busy doing other things to our home and didn't get back to the roof until April of 2013. His next quote for same job, same materials was $12,736. That's quite a price increase over just 5 months. He blamed the increase on materials cost but I don't believe that.

We weren't going to go with Scurrah's because of the large price increase but our preferred roofer flaked out on us after we decided against solar panels. There are some things about the roof that still bug me, like rain diverters that are too short and not sloped properly. Water from one diverter sheds right on to our soft water system, and although I specified 4 ft. wide diverters, they only installed 3 footers.

They also did not repair a short section of roof overhang in the back of the house that had been cut off by a previous contractor when an old patio cover was installed. When I pointed that out to Jeff during the final walk around, he blamed me and said I should have pointed that out earlier! Jeez, I thought he was supposed to be the roofing expert.

Now rainwater drains right on to our electrical subpanel. Although he seems like a nice enough guy I definitely would not hire him again and wish we had gone with some one else. We could have got the same quality roof for $ 2500 less.

Let's face it, as homeowner's we don't want to spend money on a roof replacement. That said, a few years back my wife and I needed to replace our roof. Scurrah's provided a fair quote, then proceeded to do all they told us they would. The result is a fine Owens Corning roof, complete with a lifetime warranty for materials AND labor. It gets better. the warranty is completely transferrable! Now, just think when we decide to sell our home. It's a plus all the way to the bank. In the meantime, we are enjoying the security of benefits of a top quality roofing job, by one of the best roofers in California.

Jeff Scurrah (owner) came out to my home with a VERY aggressive manner from the start, and only wanted to push two different product options for our re-roof job. i was immediately reticent about him BEFORE even shaking his hand upon observing his highly unprofessional appearance and overall demeanor, AND the fact he drove up our driveway to park his oversize pickup (there's always ample street parking.) he was too lazy to go up on our roof to visually inspect and measure (let alone actually go into our attic to inspect the rafters, etc); and only acquired a rough estimate of our roof size from measuring the ground!. worst, he refused to even provide an estimate in the end after wasting my time, and instead chose to argue with me in front of my house and insult me. he then proceeded to "assume" we could not afford a top quality LEED or other similar high efficiency roofing products, and stated that only "millionaires in Beverly Hills" can have those quality roofs. this after i spoke nearly 20 minutes with him prior by phone over the 4th of July holiday weekend and clearly stated to him EXACTLY what i wanted, to which he continued to "yes" me and say he was experienced and could install ANY roofing material. this guy is an old school "Red Neck" dinosaur who glaringly admitted to NOT being up to current trends or technologies in roofing, and gruffly rebuffed the "new school" in every regard. he wasn't even aware of the latest EPA studies showing that asphalt shingles are the WORST roofing material as they conduct and trap heat; and as we reside in SoCal, clay tiles (which he was also pushing) have the WORST ratings against severe storms, winds, and of course earthquakes. his solution for "proper ventilation" was to cut holes in our roof and install outdated vents and gables which (again) is NOT what new construction homes in California are doing under the mandated requirements of Title 25 and Federal efficiency standards. and to top it all, he insisted the "best roof" out there was ugly WHITE SHINGLES like those on trailer homes.omg! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME w/ SCURRAH'S.THE RUDEST AND WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! SCURRY AWAY FROM SCURRAH'S.YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!

Wonderful customer service, there are extremely relatable people working for this company. I was more than satisfied with the speediness and attentiveness of this company and their workers. They will explain to you every detail of what they are going to be working on beforehand. Not only that but if you refer their service, they are more than gracious. I was extremely happy with this company and their quality of service. I love my new roof!

In 2005 we contacted 4 roofing contractors for bids on a house we had recent purchased. We knew there had been leaking so knew we were probably in for some wood rot. This was an expensive home and did not want to do it again. We were showed the rotted wood that would need to be replaced. We talked to him about how we wanted the roof to be similar to the neighborhood home roofs.

We wrote up the order in October but we did not have his crew come till Feb 2006 and were happy there was not a change in price. Jeff came out not once, but twice because we changed our minds on what kind of roofing we had told him we were interested. He was not the cheapest nor the most expensive bid. We were very impressed at his professionalism and honest knowledge about the different options of roofing.

We have had 4 homes so we have experience with home repairs and issues. He did not push us to one style or another, just laid out the information and was honest about what all would be included and NOT included in the price. Sometimes home contractors fail to be honest about what is not covered. They cleaned up everyday after work was done and did not find nails all over the grass or surrounding areas.

They left extra tiles that were not used. You think you will never need them but you never know and by the time you need them the company that made it no longer uses that color or style. They came in handy when we needed for adding a solar light. Never have had any issues with the roof. I would use his company again.

Back in 2008 I contracted with Scurrah's Roofing to put a new roof on my home. They were done within a few days, the crew was professional and the roof has held up wonderfully during its first true test in the form of our most recent significant rainy season. However, that's not the reason for my review. Last week the owner Jeff called to let me know he'd be working in the neighborhood and wanted to come by to put an upgraded sealant product (GACO) on my flat garage roof free of charge just to say thanks. That's the kind of proactive approach you don't see much of nowadays and deserves to be commended. I don't anticipate needing a roof for many years, but if you do I would highly recommend giving Scurrah's a call.

Thank you so very much for doing my mothers roof and your men are so polite. My mother is delighted with the work and I just heard that her neighbor has already got in touch with you to have the theirs done. I am referring you to some friends in Rolling Hills Estates. Sincerely, JJ

When there is only one review, from an ex employee, I should have known better. Recently got a bid from Scurrah's roofing. He was really pushing a certain product talking about SPIF points etc. His bid was over $5,000.00 more than the contractor I selected to do my roof.
