I have to say we are extremely satisfied with Mal and Professional Home Improvements. Mal is very honest and uses his experience to help you arrive at the right choice for your home. I tried to choose the wrong siding for our house over and over, and Mal kept me grounded in reality through the entire process. We wanted to update our house and make it modern, but retain the style of the mid century modern original feel.

We love the new look. We opted for insulated siding and can feel the difference in the home. It retains heat and cool much better than before the work was done. Countless neighbors walking dogs and such have commented on how great the house looks now, one person commented that we increased our value by $100,000.00. While I don't really think that's the case, it sure looks like it. Thanks Mal, and everyone who worked on our home. We truly appreciate your efforts, and so do our neighbors!

I met with two contractors for estimates on getting the siding done on my house and detached garage. Mal was first, and he was very nice, professional and knowledgeable about all of the products. And he is a no nonsense kind of guy, which I totally appreciate! I met with the 2nd contractor, and I just wasn't impressed. I asked both for written estimates to compare, and Mal's was very detailed (a couple of pages long!) while the other just had a few bullet points.

The prices were comparable, but Mal's estimate not only included the siding, but framing around the windows, soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts. I also had the front window in the living room replaced. When it came down to the actual job, the two man crew that did the work really knew what they were doing! They arrived at my house and started working at the same time every day and they gave 150% each and every day.

And when they left at the end of each day, they cleaned up everything that they possibly could. The finished product is better than I could have expected! I have been in my house for almost 13 years and everything was brand new when I moved in. The siding wasn't in bad condition, but it looked like every other house in the neighborhood and I wanted it to stand out! Well, it certainly stands out now and I couldn't be happier! Give Mal a call, he will not disappoint!

Mal was the third person we met with regarding our project, and he blew the competition out of the water! We kept saying after meeting with previous companies that we wished someone would come in and really explain in detail what they would do and who would help us create a vision for our home. Mal did all of those things and more. He was very helpful, completely guiding us through the process, and patient with us as we were trying to decide on the right color.

He was able to help us find homes that had colors we wanted to see in person before we made our final decision, which proved to be extremely important. Once the work started, the team was incredible. They checked in with us about decisions and went above and beyond with creating beautiful detail to our home. Our project just completed two days ago, and we are already receiving compliments from neighbors-in the winter! Thank you to Mal for being honest, dependable, and a true expert in the field!

After searching for many months for a reputable, properly licensed contractor, we decided to use Professional Home Improvement. Mel was wonderful to work with and got the added funds from insurance to cover repairs that other contractors did not include. Many of them were necessary to bring the house to code. Our roof and siding look great. Even had a neighbor stop by just to tell us how nice it looked. Definitely recommend Mel and his company.

Mal and his team installed new windows and siding for me. They did a great job! I can't tell you how much better my house looks now. I thought they were reasonably priced too!

I didn't give five stars for two reasons. One, I was told how great the gutters and new over sized down spouts would be. However, I feel they were installed poorly. The rain puddles around the down spout most of the time, when it didn't before. Two, the new gutters drip and make ice patches where we never had them before. Also, I asked Mal if he could get his crew over to do a repair on the garage, that I would pay for and he never did.

I got the feeling that once I paid for the install that was the end of our relationship. One more thing. I also asked if the crew could install a new awning I purchased, because I wanted to make sure it was installed correctly on top of the new siding, and I never hard back.
