My fiance and I recently just closed on our house and the first thing that we needed to do was replace the roof. Richards and Swift Roofing was very professional, timely, and the final product we received was well worth the money that we put in. Everything leading up to the work was good. After the work was done, however, there were a lot of problems. Jim came out to look, saw the issues and then has ghosted for the rest of the year. I had to hire another roofing company to fix all of the issues that resulted in water leaks causing other damage to the house. Issues - didn't install flashing, installed flashing backward, didn't put shingles all of the way to the siding, had staples sticking into shingles, lost gutter pieces, didn't reattach gutters to house, and severely scratched skylight windows.
The fact that the work was done poorly, was left with issues from the beginning, and then promised to come for months to fix the issues but never came leads to this poor review. Stay away from Richards and Swift (Jim Swift) roofing. The price was good, but you get what you pay for.

I had a leak in my roof after some heavy rains and called Richards & Swift to see about locating the source of the leak. I left a message and was called back within 15 minutes. I explained my situation and Jim came out the next morning to check it out. He was actually early, checked everything out, and gave an honest assessment without trying to unnecessarily upsell me on anything. I will definitely call this company for any future roofing or gutter needs.

A section of shingles blew off our roof this spring. I happened to be driving behind a Richards & Swift Roofing truck on Thursday afternoon and called the number on the truck. Jim, immediately returned my call. The next day Alex came by and gave us a very reasonable estimate. I called first thing Monday morning to schedule my repair. My roof was fixed by the end of the day! Amazingly fast service! Super friendly. I highly recommend these guys!

Had Dale Richards do this roof 5.5 years ago. Had a leak since day 1, and tried multiple times to get them to fix it. Now that it's Richards & Swift, Mr. Swift states he will not honor my warranty. Had to pay another company come and fix it right. They reported nails from the old roof causing leaks as well as a complete failure to flash in these skylights. All they did in the past was pour on caulk.

Had Jim Swift replace roof at my kids house in Troy couple years ago. Great work, reasonable prices, no issues since. Recently needed a rental condo checked for roof leak. Jim promptly called back, checked the issue and found a cracked vent in the roof. He fixed it no charge! Definitely my go to person for all roof work.

We selected Richards & Swift Roofing to do our roof for a second time this past Spring because they did such an excellent job the first time! The owner, Jim, was prompt in giving us our free estimate and was readily available when we had questions. The crew who tore off and installed our roof worked in a timely manner, finishing the job in a day - as was promised.
They took care in making sure our landscaping was protected and everything was cleaned up; looking as though no one had even been there to install a roof for us that day. Once again we are ONE-HUNDRED percent satisfied with Richards & Swift Roofing, we are GRATEFUL for their level of customer service, and we LOVE our new roof!

Great team. Showed immediately following approval of estimate. Completed my roofing project even quicker than expected. Following tear off and during installation of new roof, they always cleaned up at the end of each day. Two days following the completion of project, Richard's and Swift Roofing sent out another team member to walk the property and do any additional cleanup as needed. Quite an amazing experience. I would recommend them to anyone with roofing needs.
