Raneri & Long Roofing

So since my first review I have spoken to Dave, he has had a hard time getting El Cajon City and SDG&E TO GET MY solar panels up and going. He also hooked me up with a Solatube vent assembly. It is awesome natural light in a middle bathroom and a working vent

I was very impressed with the service of Raneri and Long Roofers. They cleaned up every day and on the last day. They were quiet and respectful. I felt that I was getting the Nordstrom's treatment!

Raneri and Long Roofing is fantastic. We had our roof recently done, and they went above and beyond with their work. The workers were polite, respectful, efficient, and the office people were wonderful as well as everyone with the company. They came in with a great bid and all went perfect to the end. We definitely recommend Raneri and Long for your roofing needs.

Just before all of this San Diego Rain. I had new pavers installed and with that came the idea of protecting them from that roof drip stain that will take place over time. So I quickly wanted to have gutters installed. I called Ranier and Long and within 5 days had gutters installed around my whole home. I found one spot during that rain that wasn't working correctly and they came out and fixed it within 2 days and even added an additional countermeasure for the issue I was having.

I couldn't be more pleased with their services and products. The crew that came out was very kind and patient with me. They worked very quickly and cleaned up their work before they left. I can't thank them enough and I would highly recommend them to any friends or family. Thank you

This review has been 6 months in the making.it has been approx 6 months since the work and we wanted to put into writing what we experienced. Our roof project was complicated and most likely larger than most home roof projects. We bid the job to no less than 5 companies.three roofing companies with solar capability and 2 Solar companies who do roofing.

When final bids were evaluated R & L was the most expensive of the group but the margin was less than 10%. Our project involved, solar removal and return, roof repair of significant scope as well as some gutter work and most importantly 65+ squares of tile, torch-down and shingle work.yes this project had three type of roofing materials. Beyond that we decided to also go with a thermal layer above the paper and below the final roofing. Needless to say the project was sizable and not inexpensive.

We chose R & l over all others for a few reasons: Their bid was comprehensive, and reasonably competitive. Their terms were by far the best and the folks who came out to do the estimate as well as follow up all had been with the company for many years.(this is important for later) While we had a wait longer than other bidders for a start date.when the time came the crews who worked the job were on-time, respectful, professional, always cleaned up, operated safely and were most if not all long time employees.

This was evident as numerous crews handled numerous elements of our job and did it seamlessly to us. Beyond that supervision for the project was active and engaged as opposed to driving by on the way to other jobs. The skill level of the various crews was never more evident than the tile crew of two (yes two) who setup and put down 43 squares of tile, 12 squares of shingle and helped setup 10 squares of torch-down.

For us this was what solidified that we made the right decision. When the project was finished, on-time and consistent with the estimate given we had a roof we believe will last for 40 years, backed by the best warranted we were offered and provided by a family owned/run East business that we know will be around well into the future. The professionals that were on our roof for some two weeks worked safely and at no time did we ever have a concern of corner cutting or rushing to complete.

There are good companies doing work in this space but it is increasingly hard to find them.,.we did and we are lucky. If you are considering a stressful roofing/solar project we would strongly encourage all to consider R & L. They were that good, they were that upfront, they were that honest and they were without question the best value for our money. To the entire R & L team. Gracias.

Our roof popped a leak so it was time. The tile roof was 32 years old so we went for the entire lift of all the tiles to install new underlayment and thermoshield as we can't add more insulation in the tiny attic space. Solar was installed at the same time. R&L listened to us about system size, panel placement so production is as expected when expected. R&L staff kept a tidy work space cleaning at the end of the day along with a magnetic sweep to catch nails that escaped.

When we needed a new roof I did a lot of research and came to the decision to go with Raneri and Long Roofing. The Sales rep David came to our house and was very friendly. He explained all the benefits of a quality roofing product and had an estimate the next morning. He explained the work schedule and when it could be done and how long it would take.

Everything he said was exactly right and within the time frame he stated. When the work crew came out they were extremely friendly and polite. They were very honest about extra wood that needed to be replaced and showed me everything. They finished all the work within the time frame I was told. Before they left everything was cleaned and tidy. We were very happy with the service they provided and would recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend Raneri & Long! I purchased my home in November 2019 knowing that the concrete (barrel style tile) roof was original and around 40+ years old and would probably have to be replaced during my ownership. Lift and re-lay was really not a viable option for me as, aside from the barrel style tile not really matching the design of the house, it was a discontinued W shape tile and I would more than likely would have had a spot on the roof that now had different tiles and would not match.

I got 6 different bids that varied in price by over $22,000 (lowest bid to highest bid). Raneri's bid was well below the highest and since they also do solar and I would not end up with a finger pointing match between a solar company and a roofing company should any problems arise in the future, I went with Raneri. I could not be happier! Their employees were friendly, professional and exceptionally skilled.

The whole job took about 10 days (4200 SF roof) and my lawn and patio areas were always cleaned up at the end of every day. My new roof looks absolutely amazing! And I have piece of mind knowing that the installation is covered by a 15 year warranty from a company that has been in business since 1986! Shout out to Elfego, Patron, Angel, Emely, Perla and Imperia! A company is only as good as its personnel and you are all amazing!

Took 2 months to get an appointment, then they no showed, no called. When I called, person did not seem to care, nor were they concerned I was going elsewhere. Its sad because 4 years they did a great job on my roof and skylights. Update: The yelp review got a good response. Sometimes people fall through the cracks and as a business owner myself, I know it happens. Owner called almost immediately, job was completed today with no animosity. They are great people that do a great job. I do recommend them!

I just replaced my current roof tiles for new roof tiles for my house. Their workers are very professional and did an excellent job. I had a few extra requests which they had no problem accommodating with. Their service team is very well organized and provided quick responses and overall had great customer service. I manage multiple rental houses and will consider this company first when I decide to replace the roof tiles on those houses.

A roof is a pretty important purchase and there are some pretty pushy companies out there that try to "high pressure" you into a sale or make it very confusing. This company is NOT one of them. I appreciated the professionalism of our interactions, the information given, and the questions answered. It was such a hard choice to make on which company to go with, but we had a few specific details that made us go with someone else, but I wish I could have hired these guys too.

They were amazing and helpful and I know they would have done a great job as well. I definitely would recommend them as a top choice for anyone else looking to have a roof or solar done. Thank you so much for your contribution to making my project happen.

From start to finish these guys rock. Professional quality work. Our main roof was done in a day and not a nail left on the ground. After interviewing five roofing contractors we decided to have Raneri replace the tile roof on our 40-year-old house for reasons of professionalism, experience, good reviews, competitive quote and a 15 year workmanship guarantee. We are extremely satisfied with the experience and the result which has added curb appeal and value to our home. During the interview process we had developed extensive list of questions.

But the Raneri folks were very patient with us and addressed all of our concerns. Prior to the start of the project they gave us a list of preparations and expectations for our home and property that helped with the project going smoothly and on time. The project took a total of four days to complete. The first day all the tile and paper were removed and the 40-year-old roof which created quite a bit of dirt and dust around the property.

But at the end of the day the Raneri workmen did a very good job of cleaning up as they did at the end of each workday. At various points in the project we had questions for the lead and, at times, the workmen. At no time did they show any impatience as they fully addressed our questions. The quote includes a piece price, which is common for all the quotes we received, for any wood that required replacing due to rot, etc.

They showed us all the wood that required replacement and we found the charges to be very reasonable. And something that is rare for roofing contractors, they allow us to pay our invoice using a credit card. They also gave us a discount for my husband's military service. We highly recommend the Raneri company for any roof replacement project.

Excellent company! We've had solar panels for 8 years, and needed a new roof. Got 3 other quotes. David Valdivia came out and gave us a reasonable price; especially since they needed to remove and reinstall the solar panels. Everyone that we were in contact with in the office and on the job site as well as on the final day for some small adjustments were very nice to work with! Thank you again!

Dave and team are amazing. Professional and ready to teach without pushing. True contractor values with no invoices or progress payments until complete. They did an awesome job with a new roof, thermo insulating sheet, 50 year GAF shingles, solar and rain gutters. They even helped us narrow our color choice by giving us a few addresses in each of the 4 colors we were debating.

The only estimate and crew that did their own tear off! We had a small misunderstanding on the conduit and solar equipment panels, they moved everything and kept all the conduit out of sight and off our roof!

Just an update to my original post from almost 2 years ago. Because of solar panels, our total electric bill for the entire year of 2019 was $30. And now we added 2 electric cars. Our solar panels are feeding our EVs for free. Dave Hancock hired a very smart solar crew. Thank you Dave.

From the roof to solar, gutters to patio cover, we have been very pleased with their work and professionalism. They worked closely with my stucco contractor and were always on time and ready. They asked for feedback and all changes were made to 100% satisfaction. They even gave me an awesome referral for my A/C unit and helped work out a payment plan for my patio cover. Amazing company that I would refer to anyone.

I have a leak in my roof, which is not quite 8 yrs old and after looking at things they said that they wouldn't repair anything, as they couldn't warranty it, even though they say that they do roof repairs. But, instead, they would recommend re-roofing, and that that would come with a 10yr warranty. What? I did appreciate the honesty, and suggestions, but seriously, why say they do repairs, when in reality they don't. Kind of a waste of time for both parties. So, unless you have a older roof that really should be replaced, don't call if you only really need a repair.

Dave is simply amazing! Super knowledgeable and willing to go out of his way to help his customers. I am in the process of purchasing a home and I needed a fast roof inspection due to concerns brought up by the home inspector. I called a couple places to try to schedule estimates for repairs and upon calling Raneri and Long Roofing I was very impressed with Dave.

He not only told me what I needed, he gave me a bit of history of the location of the homes and was willing to go out that same day to inspect the property and get me a full report by the end of the day. Cannot express my gratitude enough. Anybody looking for an honest roofing contractor do not hesitate to call Dave, will not be disappointed.

Old brown wood shingles have been on the roof of my house since 1961, so it was high time for a new roof. I have never before contracted for a new roof, and I was aware of the horror stories of half-finished jobs, exorbitant charges [new roofs are expensive!] and shoddy work. I did my research on Yelp and elsewhere and decided to go with Raneri & Long.

From my initial contact with Raneri & Long, to the conclusion of the job, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and in a timely manner. I communicated with the company owner, Dave Hancock, and the efficient and pleasant assistant, Emely, and all my questions were answered and concerns addressed. The workers cleaned up at the conclusion of each work day and there were no issues with the project. The roof was completed in five days and is truly beautiful.
