Understand the difference in a "true" warranty and "prorated" warranty from the manufacturer and don't be fooled by a so called "Lifetime Warranty." A true "Lifetime Warranty" is not "prorated" at any time during the warranty period.

We were looking for a company to replace our roof. Because of some complicated legal issues, we went with another company but RLI was able to help us through some legal/money issues and helped us fix our problem even though we didn't actually contract with them for our new roof. Crew was not polite. Still had water leaks after work was finished. I called Steve several times and left message and he did not return calls. Not sure why your giving five stars Kyle since Colt was the one that told us his company did the flashing wrong on the dormers when he came to give us estimate.

As a local inspector, I see a lot of work and I am in contact with a lot of people who are in need of roof work. I have no hesitation to give them Steve's name. I hired these guys in Knoxville for a roof a few years ago. The 3 day job took 3 weeks b/c they had hired a group of gentlemen that sat on my roof and drank beer while I was at work. When they got paid by RLI they all walked off of the job, but left their truck parked beside my house, I still have pictures of the Budweiser cans and boxes tossed on top of my old shingles.
I was also quoted that my yard would be swept daily with a magnet to make sure my dogs wouldn't be stepping on nails, this never happened. I was also quoted materials would be used that were downgraded to cheaper materials when the trucks showed. All of this was followed by the workers sealing the ridge vent closed and then nailing the vent to it!.I'm no expert in roofing but even I could see that this wouldn't work.
My favorite, though, is that after call after call after call I was basically laughed at until I got my attorney involved. Suddenly the owner's son was standing in my yard trying to get me to 'feel better'. Needless to say, it didn't work. Steer clear of this one, guys.
