Synthetic slate
Report
Slate Roofing Alternative With Brava's synthetic slate roofing tile you can now affordably have the beauty of natural slate, with all of the benefits of a composite roofing product. Brava's composite roof tile offers homeowners two attractive alternatives to traditional slate roofing: Brava Old World Slate . Slate roofing is often defined as being one of the highest quality and longest lasting types of roof tile in the marketplace.
While possessing some advantages, quarried slate roof tiles have significant drawbacks. Natural slate roof shingles are among the heaviest roofing materials available. In order to properly install such a heavy material homeowners are forced to add expensive structural support. The better solution and slate roof alternative is Brava's synthetic slate. Choosing the Right Slate Roof Color Slate color is the single most important factor homeowners consider before purchasing.
Our roof tile is the only composite roofing product of its kind that is available in any color. With Brava Roof Tile's revolutionary multi-coloring process, each piece of slate receives the proper blend of colors throughout the entire tile, not just on the surface only like our competitors. Since Brava's slate roofing tile is colored throughout, you will save time and money on costly manual blending efforts required for "surface colored only" faux slate products. Brava's composite slate roofing has the gorgeous aesthetics of quarried slate tile without the weight constraints.
Our synthetic slate roof tile is cast from actual impressions of natural slate roofing. Brava Select Slate tile comes in a variety of solid colors as well as multi-colored options that replicate quarried slate shingles, providing a classic architecturally realistic appearance. Erica was wonderful in her help of color choice for the roof tiles. I went back and forth 3 or 4 times because this is for a summer home in Maine and I was picking out from Texas. They shipped tiles to Maine for us to replace an old wood roof and they are perfect, look like wood and are the perfect color!!

Exceptional CS! They send full size samples and return labels for any that don't work. The product itself is very impressive. We've had wood shakes before but they're too fragile for Iowa. Something fire and wind resistant that looks like wood would be a very nice upgrade to the asphalt we have now.

Brava has amazing products and service. After doing business with them, I have a few remarks concerning some of the negative reviews that i read prior to buying my Brava roof. They are a premium product, it is not plastic they are composite. Brava would never call anyone ignorant, but as a customer of Brava's I can say anyone that would call this plastic is ignorant.
Its a compression molded composite that is extremely durable and will last much longer than most of the other materials used to build your house. Make sure to realize the impacts of contractors and suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Those elements are out of Brava's control. Brava, it appears, uses just in time manufacturing to make these IE they are made to order to the large degree.
I have a background in composites and have to say that I dont know how they do such a good job managing color variations and are still willing to provide materials to people with smaller homes. I would expect that they would only do business with large scale, commercial customers and was very surprised that they would provide the 4-5 pallets of material to do my small home with a roof around 30 squares but they did it.
They are transparent, have great attitudes, respectful customer service and treat everyone the same. From my experience, multiple challenges due to my exact color preferences, supply chain issues during covid, etc. I can say that they 6-8 different people i have interacted with at Brava were great people. Very happy with how the brava looks, and before i ordered it i did leave a a few sample tiles out in the Arizona sun for a full summer and hit them with a 5lb sledge. This stuff is tough stuff.

We had our hail-damaged cedar shake roof replaced with Brava cedar shake roof tiles a few months back & couldn't be happier with the look of it. Ted McNulty was the regional sales rep who helped us with the selection of the perfect color shake tile for our home. Our installation was done by an awesome company, Koziatek Contracting in St. Louis, MO. We would highly recommend both of these companies. Great customer service on both of their parts!

Brava roof tiles are amazing products. This is a fantastic company. We have been using Brava products professionally and on personal projects for years. We highly recommend Brava to our customers. The service that Donna provides is above and beyond. We have been dealing with Brava over the phone and through emails for years, Donna truly makes us feel like family and takes time to give her attention to any needs/questions we may have.
With her great service you feel as if you are the only customer, when in fact that is not the case. From the service to the product there is nothing but positive things that can be said about Brava.

I worked with Brava about two years ago to do my very unique and complicated home in the Rockies. Their product is amazing (both my opinion and the inspector's). I had wonderful service; more than I would have expected. My wife and I are now friends with one person in particular. I advise potential customers to be careful about selecting a roofer to do the work.
It is critical to get a crafts-person and not any of those 'one day wonder teams.' Installing Brava properly and correctly takes time, patience and attention to detail if you want to get the amazingly beautiful job their product produces.
